New billboard pokes fun at O’Neill inaction on SABL land grab

A new cartoon highlighting the failure of the Prime Minister Peter O’Neill to take any action over the SABL land grab has been strategically placed on a billboard right outside his Departmental office.

sabl billboardIt is now two years since the Prime Minister was given the reports of a Commission of Inquiry which found fraudulent SABL leases have been used to steal more than 5 million hecatres of customary land.

Despite repeated promises from the Prime Minister none of the leases has been cancelled and illegal logging continues in many of the lease areas.

    Corruption is a cancer…it needs to be removed by radical surgery…When the ink from a pen runs dry after repeated writing, refilling it with “red” ink often achieves results. More radical approach is often the only way forward. PNG is good at crisis management…create a crisis is see how fast the CEO will run to mitigate it.
