How corrupt is Minister Ben Micah?

Kavieng Blogger (PNG Blogs)

Can we Papua new Guineans stop and think clearly and stop being cheated by politicians like Ben Micah, goodness me, when he was Kavieng MP from 1992-1997 he completely corrupted his district support grant of K1.5 million he was receiving then.

Those in in Kavieng never saw that money, its benefits nor acquittals. When Micah was MP he traveled home 5 times in 5 years to spend Christmas with his wives not his people.

1.   During his term he bought a new house at Ela beach costing K1.2 million.where did he get the money from?  He abused his DSG funds by giving to his family members and political cronies like Tony Matautu and Gillis who in turn gave it back to him to buy the house

2.   He bought a barge for K700,000.00, after Micah was dumped in the 1997 National Elections, Martin Aini investigated the cost of the boat and the supplier in Brisbane quoted $55,000 to build a new one. The rest of the money was used to buy his new printing business in port moresby.

3.   Micah’s printing business went broke after the Ombudsman Commision directed government  departments not to use Micah’s business because his quotes were twice everyone’s else and that he had to give kickbacks to his sleazy corrupt public servants.

4.   Finally PNGBC (Papua New Guinea Banking Corporation) took Ben Micah to court and declared him bankrupt. He was bankrupt from 1999-2009, yet he stood for two elections when he wasn’t qualified to do so completely disregarding the rule of law and showing his disdain for ethical or moral standards.

5.   In 1999,  Micah was appointed chairman of IPBC and was sacked by Sir Mekere Morauta after eleven (11) months for spending (stealing) K2.5 million renovating his small office at Port Moresby.

The above examples are but the tip of the iceberg of what Ben Micah has corruptly done in the past 15 years, he now he has corruptly won the elections, he will be taken to court by Martin Aini for bribery and illegal campaigning which will all come out in public.

Finally, Ben Micah will be dismissed by the court of disputed returns because he failed to register himself for the 2012 elections and bribed John Kasinga to allow him to contest and vote by hand writing his name on the common roll

That’s Ben Micah for you, Corrupt, Greedy, Adulterous.

The people of Kavieng would have known very well of his depraved deeds. He’s back to triple his corrupt gains from where he was stopped. People of Kavieng need to see clearly in broad day light before giving the mandate to their representatives.

I am surprised to see why the Kavieng people have again given the mandate to MR. MICAH, when they only knew too well how corrupt he was.

From history, Mr. Micah is a devoted SDA, however how can he be so corrupt? Is it not against the teaching of SDA to marry more than one wife. WHAT A JOKE.

I belief development in Kavieng will go back another five (5) years, and Mr. Micah will go richer, and most probably marry another woman. Papua New Guinea yah, yumi ino longlong more.

The simple truth is that the people of Kavieng did not vote for Ben Micah. Ben Micah and his PPP cohorts derailed the election process by bribing electoral officials.

The facts will be exposed in the Court of Disputed Returns.

Martin Aini has been criticised but I think the Kavieng Electorate in general saw some development during his term, as opposed to the Golden PPP Chan boys of Namatanai.

Shame on Ben Micah !! Shame on your bankrupt, misappropiating dishonest pot belly filling face..!

Lets do away with such leaders who practice Corrupt practices in our nation. Kevieng people must be blind to send him back to the parliament. Why do you have to do that??

Such gross misuse of funds; such grand corruption and grandiose repetition of past deceits and deeds; and living it up in such grand style in the grandest and most expensive hotel in Grand Papua. Most Ministers that checked in there after the formation of the Government left. Micah forgot to check out! Can someone do a simple arithmetic and find out how much he has run up in room charges, room orders, laundry and dry cleaning before he cleans out the Treasury much like Paraka Lawyers. They belong to a brand of personalities that come in with simple baseline ideas but quickly grow obese waistlines on the cream of State coffers in a country where an increasing majority of people are trying to make ends meet.
How corrupt is Ben Micah? May be the question should be: how much more corrupt must Ben Micah become before the New Irelanders see through him?

Ben was actually living at Grand Papua for about 2 weeks and knew very well the public will know about it and moved out…but continues to have lunch there. This is direct from his driver a known criminal in NCD who is into business and also another known criminal from Morobe who is serving as his unofficial body guard.

Yes I have heard about the developments around Kavieng town. I’ve also heard that Mr Micahs boy wonder Gilles from Emira Island fame, has been sniffing around town again mustering support for a take over of another large plantation just 20 minutes out of town. When ever this Gilles is snooping around, you can bet Mr Micah istap klos tu. Y nah ol Papa Graun Ino kisim bek plantation graun? Em chence blong ol blo wokim bisnis na empowerim ol mama graun! Instead em bai kisim graun na wokim Niu pla home land blo ol Mussau nah ol kong kong

If he is corrupt as you make him out to be, then how the hell did he get re-elected? Don’t people from his electorate learn from past experiences? With this opportunity, he will be even worse then before.

I suggest you all come over to Kavieng to his piece of land he bought using corrupt deals and see how fast it’s developing, his so called “hausboi” is turning into a real estate and soon it’s going to be a botanic garden as stated by him,so,what’s happening right now in Kavieng town is no development, same old four corner sleepy Kavieng town just like it’s Governor.Last thing, what happened to our Goverment schools and private schools here in PNG as all his children have all gone up to Singapore to school?? Also his primitive wife/wives are flying in and out using tax payers money with all the kids. Hey,and you all know what, his son Layton is following in fatso daddy’s footsteps..What a shame, the whole lot..Time will come when he will be corrupt as nobody who is corrupt stands tall for a very long time.

How well some of you know Ben Micah? You point your one finger at him and the four are pointing back at you. You bunch of idoits. You cannot match Ben Micah. He is too clever for you and can do anything. Mark my word, he will be PNG’s next Deputy Prime Minister and in 2017 he will be Prime Minister. oh..! don’t worry about the Kavieng Open Seat Its already in the pocket. Martin Aini will not challenge him again because he is already in BM’s fat pocket.
